About Cardiacare
Established in 1988, Cardiacare was started by Dr. E. Michael Weiss who had been at the time a practicing cardiologist for over 3 years. The intention as the name implies was to see to all of or as many of your heart or cardiovascular needs and to do so in a way to avoid hospitalizations unless they became imperative for your safety and well being. The process involved a gradual accumulation and updating of state of the art noninvasive medical equipment with patient safety and quality outcomes in mind. Dr. Weiss coined the phrase at the time “Listen to your own heart, as you can be certain that we will!” In that spirit Cardiacare came into fruition to meet the Heart needs in the community with an emphasis on , education and prevention in order to provide state of the art diagnostics, interventions and care when and only if required! The spectrum of cardiovascular disease not being limited to the heart; includes the entire cardiovascular system and it’s contributing complex bodily functions during both health and disease states.
Today the board certified physicians at Cardiacare see thousands of patients annually and help prevent heart attacks, strokes, improve weakened hearts and perform important procedures in hospitals such as coronary balloon angioplasty with stenting to save, extend the duration of and improve the quality of life of so many.
When required we refer our patients for open heart coronary or valvular or even transplant procedures to only the top of the nation’s list of heart hospitals and nationally recognized surgeons with proven excellence in their outcomes. We make it our business to avoid what you do not need and to treat you with the least risky treatment modalities opting for the best possible resolution of each individual’s disorder. Heart disease requires careful monitoring, follow up, safe and efficacious medications as well as institution of lifestyle measures towards this goal. We don’t look the other way, and treat each of these aspects of your care as importantly as the other. Educating our patients complements the teamwork required for the best possible results.
